Mrs. Neerja Rajkumar belongs to 1972 Batch, Karnataka Cadre of Indian Administrative Service. She has wide experience and has held important assignments both at the Central and the State Government. She was Director General, Apparel Export Promotion Council in the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India during 1991-94 and has worked as Deputy Commissioner, Bangalore Urban District; Divisional Commissioner, Bangalore Division during 1998's. Besides, she has headed public sector undertakings like Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation and Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation.

Presently, she has been posted as Joint Secretary in the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India for over two years. She has recently taken charge of the Dairy Development and Poultry Division.
