It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that the XXXVIII Dairy Industry Conference is scheduled to be held at Bengaluru from 17th to 19th February 2010. The Conference is being organized by Indian Dairy Association (South Zone).

As all of you are aware, Indian Dairy Association has completed six decades of its fruitful existence in the service of dairymen and the dairy fraternity. Amongst its various activities, IDA has been organizing Dairy Industry Conference which has been a very fruitful endeavour, providing a live platform for dairy professionals, farmers, equipment manufacturers , developmental agents and students for meaningful interactions.

Keeping abreast of the current importance and future relevance, an apt theme "Indian Dairying – Productivity & Food Safety" has been chosen for deliberations at the XXXVIII DIC. We sincerely hope that the theme would generate added interest amongst the participants, facilitating good discussion and policy proposals.

On the occasion of the Conference, we are bringing out a Souvenir containing the papers contributed by noted dairy professionals, papers presented at the conference and advertisements from dairy and related industries. Besides, an Exhibition for showcasing the innovations in the dairy industry is also being organised. Details regarding the tariff rates and other related aspects will be published in the October 2009 Issue of Indian Dairyman and also in the Conference Website which will be launched soon.

The venue of the conference has been fixed in the serene environment of the Convention Centre, NIMHANS, Bangalore. We expect the participation of about 1500 delegates from India and abroad. The detailed information pertaining to the Conference, will be published and brought to your notice shortly.
