Abstract "With the opening of first dairy science college at NDRI, Karnal at 1957, dairy education has come a long way with the rapid expansion of dairy sector. In order to manage dairy farms on scientific lines to produce clean milk, to manufacture various value added milk products and to encourage entrepreneurship, a number of state agricultural/veterinary universities, dairy development federations and dairy education institutions are doing the best in pursuit of excellence for dairy sector in India."
