PLENARY SESSION
Address

Dr. N.R. Bhasin

President, Indian Dairy Association

Thanks to Dr. A.K. Srivastava, Director, NDRI, Karnal, Mr. Arun patil, Chairman, IDA (West Zone) and all delegates who have come here from different parts of the country to attend the XXXVII DIC, Goa.

We are really fortunate enough that we have been blessed by His Excellency Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India who very kindly inaugurated this conference. Dr. Kalam feels that dairying is a potential instrument for sustainable livelihood for the rural people of India.

At the last day of the conference, I would like to thank all of my friends who have joined the conference in such a large number with enthusiasm and support.

Today, we promise, here, to meet again in next DIC, and I am sure, next year, the strength of the delegates would be more than the double of the number of delegates who have come here in XXXVII DIC, Goa. We all; the farmers, students, industrialists, scientists have enhanced our knowledge in this three day conference through various presentations and interactions and I am sure that the information, knowledge from these sessions will be a guiding factor in shaping the future of dairy sector in India.
