Impact of Socio-Economic Status on Microbiological
Quality of Buffalo Milk
S.K. Prasad, Ramveer Singh, J.P. Singh |
Abstract "The microbiological quality of buffalo milk was found to be directly related to economic,
social and educational status of the milk producers. Amongst three groups of farmers, the
best quality of buffalo milk was produced by farmers of large holdings with general quality
from highly educated (graduate and above) followed by farmers of small holdings, educated
upto intermediate and other backward classes (OBC) whereas, poorest quality of milk
was obtained from agriculture labourers, illiterate and scheduled caste farmers."
