Abstract "Since the cooperative milk unions are already giving maximum possible procurement rate, transferring all the profit to the farmer in form of rate, bonus/dividend, in put subsidy etc, the Government should come forward to give input subsidy/incentive to compensate the loss incurred for producing milk, as is done in Japan 82 per cent, EU 54 per cent, USA 47 per cent."
